Posting here in the hopes that someone else has come across the issues above and has any advice on troubleshooting either of them?Įdit - for spelling, and including link which shows the ios guide. Very few people using the iOS Apple Configurator App it seems. Trying to find information on troubleshooting that aspect seems impossible. What’s annoying me more is that on some new devices fresh out of the box (and old that are factory reset) they refuse to pair up at the WiFi screen, nothing happens at all. So it’s already a bit flaky even for orgs where this is about as simple as it can be (single profile for that enrollment method) but “tends” to work. It’s then hit and miss on whether or not the device will get stuck at the “obtaining configuration from org” screen. You then need to immediately change the MDM to InTune on ABM and force an InTune to ABM sync before you allow it factory reset. Normally it’s as simple as switch the device on, get to the WiFi part of setup and then if fire up AppleĬonfigurator on another iPhone that’s signed into ABM, it detects this and the new device is added to the ABM. ![]() What’s winding me up is how inconsistent this experience is. Generally speaking we purchase all devices through Apple Business account so it will already be in the Apple Business Manager but every now and then there’s a need for us (or a client) to purchase directly and add to ABM manually. Hoping someone else will have come across this.
